Cherokee Lane
Lodi, CA 95240
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed this site for
the annual update of the Low-Threat Closure Policy (LTCP) criteria and Path to Closure
Plan (PTCP), reviewable on GeoTracker, the database maintained online by the California
State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB). During the review process, the EHD
identified items that still need to be addressed in accordance with the PTCP. These items
are as follows:
• A conceptual site model (CSM) that assesses the nature, extent, and mobility of the
contaminants is not yet complete. Please submit a work plan to identify the down-
gradient plume delineation of impacted groundwater.
• Secondary source has not been removed to the extent practicable. In accordance
with the EHD Corrective Action Plan approval letter dated 26 November 2012,
continue soil vapor extraction remediation and in-situ air sparging until contaminant
concentrations pass LTCP criteria and are stable.
• The health hazard/risk posed by petroleum vapor intrusion to indoor air at this site
must still be evaluated. Please submit a professional evaluation of this hazard/risk
or a work plan to collect data to evaluate the site for potential vapor intrusion hazard,
or using site-specific data to demonstrate that vapor intrusion does not pose a health
hazard/risk and meets acceptable levels.
• The health hazard/risk posed by direct contact and outdoor air exposure at this site
still must be evaluated. Please submit a professional evaluation of the risk/hazards
or a work plan to collect soil data to properly evaluate the direct contact and
exposure to outdoor air criteria.
Please contact Angelica Sandoval Marin at (209) 468-2807 or amarin@sjcehd.com if you
have any questions.
Sincerely, .
Angelica S.
