Mr. Jim Lancaster - 3 - 11 September 2000
6. The Work Plan does not specify whether the boring will be abandoned or converted to a
monitoring well. If the boring will be abandoned, Woolsey needs to follow similar procedures
outlined for the abandonment of MW -1. Grout needs to be tremied from the bottom of the boring
to the surface under pressure. If Woolsey proposes to convert the boring to a monitoring well,
Woolsey needs to provide monitoring well construction details.
7. Abandonment of MW -1 and the boring (if applicable) must conform to the San Joaquin County
well abandonment standards.
8. The investigation report shall be prepared in general accordance with the attached Items to be
included in a Site Assessment Report.
By 6 October 2000, please submit a revised work plan, which addresses the comments above. If you
have any questions, you may contact me at (916) 255-3119.
SICA HARDY
Engineering Geologist
cc: Mr. Mic el In a, San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Stockton
Mr. P rick Riddle, Law Offices of Patrick D.
