The
underground tanks were removed, and the analytical results received December 11, 1989, were negative for
soil contamination under the tanks.
Since our agency cannot provide oversight to facilities which do not have contamination from underground
tanks and underground pipelines are <10% of the volume of the associated aboveground tanks, this site is
being referred to your agency for regulatory oversight.
Included is a brief chronology identifying site assessment activities to date. Your agency should already have
copies of all reports and correspondence. If not, please let us know what information is lacking.
If you have any questions, please contact Harlin Knoll, RENS, of my staff at (209)468-3442 or myself at 468-
3450.
Jogi C-iarna, M.D., M-P.H.
Health 0
,Laurie A.
