11. 0. rtox 1073 <br />Woodbrid4e, California 95258 <br />October 17, IJ89 <br />Mr. HHen Knoll R E IN <br />Countyy Health Department <br />E f)" <br />San Joaquin County OCT 2 6 1989 <br />Stockton, California <br />ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br />Dear Mr. Knoll: PERMITISERVICES <br />Bruce Woolsey and f enjoyed talkingr to you this morning in regards <br />to the Roberts' facility on Victor (toad in Lodi. <br />As I informed ,you, I was at the site on January 4 and 5, 1989 when. <br />the latest wells were being drilled and witnessed surface water filling <br />ti,e well as i.t as being drilled. I brouTht this to the attention of the <br />job supervisor who, at that time, had his employees build a small dike <br />around the well site. <br />As we stated this morning, we are of the opinion that surface con- <br />taminated water was allowed to enter the well during drilling operations; <br />therefore, causing the {problem which was discovered at the time the first <br />samples were taken from the new well. The samples were taken on January <br />13, 1989. <br />I am enclosing two copies of time sheets from EINSW which verify our <br />statements to .you this mornini�. <br />We are definitely of the opinion that tine contamination was a tem- <br />porary condition and is substantiated by the fact tliat the last two test <br />samples taken in April Fan(] July of this year proved to be negative. <br />If I can help you in an,y way, please let ane knots. <br />c' rely ,yours, <br />Wm.
