PRE-TANK REPLACEMENT Site Assessment Results
880 VICTOR ROAD LODI, CA.
Aegis Project No. 89-014
Page 7
2 . 4 SAill, Leak and Accident History
The Site has been an operating Shell service station since 1964 . A
review of San Joaquin County Health District records indicate that
tank system tightness tests have been conducted on the underground
fuel-storage-tanks and dispensing system according to San Joaquin
County guidelines since 1987 . Since that time the tanks have been
reported as "tight" . Records documenting the environmental history of
the Site are not available for years prior to 1987 .
2 . 5 Utilities
2 . 5 . 1 On-Site Utilities
Underground utilities that service the Site include water, electric
sanitary and storm sewer. Locations of the underground utilities are
shown on Figure 2 . Electric and telephone service is accessed to the
Site from Beckman Avenue by overhead wire to utility poles located
along the southern border of the Site. Electric service is provided to
the station building via underground cable, from a utility pole
located on the southeastern corner of the Site. Telephone service is
split from the utility pole and services the station building and
telephone booths located on the eastern border of the Site via above
ground cables. The water and sanitary sewers access the property at
the northeast corner of the Site from Victor Road.
2 . 5 . 2 Off-Site Utilities
Approximate locations of natural gas, water, sanitary sewer and storm
sewer lines beneath Victor Road and Beckman Lane are shown on Figure
3 . The City of Lodi maintains the water service, sanitary and storm
sewers. Pacific Gas and Electric maintains the natural gas and
electric service in the area.
2 . 6 Water Well Information
A water well search conducted through the State of California
Department of Water Resources indicates that four water wells exist
within a 1/2 mile radius of the Site. Additionally, ground water
monitoring wells installed during leaking underground storage tank
investigations are located approximately 2000 feet south of the Site
at the San Joaquin County Mosquito Abatement District facility and
approximately 1000 feet east of the Site at Wooly Oil Company. The
approximate locations of local water and ground water monitoring wells
are shown on Figure 4 .
