The
CVRWQCB requires complete lateral and vertical definition of groundwater contaminant
plumes. Enclosed is a copy of a letter from, the Cw
CVRWQCB to.an adjacent property owner of
another site in San Joaquin County requesting that the owner cooperate and allow installation of
monitoring wells on their property. I am enclosing this letter as an example of the type of
investigative action the CVRWQCB would likely enforce at 200 Beckman Road, if the MVCD
does not cooperate with the responsible party.
The EHD will allow the destruction of MW10 with the following conditions: 1) Disclosure of
h the contamination is made to any purchaser of the property; 2) Installation of a monitoring well
closer to the northern property line of 200 Beckman Road is allowed, and/or access for
installation of monitoring wells is part of the sale agreement.
If you have any questions, please contact me at 468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Margaret Lagorio, REHS
Program Coordinator Unit IV
Enc.
c: MVCD—John Stroh
Shell —Denis Brown
t CRA—Mike Murphy
CVRWQCB —Jim Barton
,
i
{
