C A M B R I A
i
converted into piezometers Boring and well specifications are
described in Table 1 and their locations are shown on Figure 2
Boring Depths• Borings MW4, MW-5, P-1, and P-2 were drilled to 63 feet
below grade (fbg) and borings MW-6 and MW-7 were drilled to
60 and 65 fbg,respectively
Groundwater Depths. During drilling activities, groundwater was observed in well
borings MW-4 through MW-7, P-1, and P-2 at depths ranging
from 49 to 55 fbg Blaine Tech Services, Inc (Blaine) of San
Jose, California measured groundwater in all of the site wells at
depths ranging from 50 98 to 52 37 fbg on September 19, 2002
Blaine's well gauging data is included in Appendix C
Soil Types: Soil types encountered during drilling consisted predominantly
of silty sand (SM), sandy silt (ML), and sand(SP) at varying
depths and thicknesses to the total explored depth of 65 fbg
Soil types from the borings are recorded on the boring logs
(Appendix B)
Chemical Analyses Selected soil and groundwater samples from the well borings
were analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, and fuel oxygenates (MTBE,
di-isopropyl ether, TAME, ETBE, and TBA) by EPA Method
8260B Additionally, selected soil samples collected from well
boring MW4 were subrmtted for grain size analysis
Soil Disposal: Approximately 12 cubic yards of soil were generated during
field activities, stored onsite, and covered with plastic sheeting
The soil stockpile was sampled and profiled for disposal
(laboratory data in Appendix D) On October 1, 2002, Manley
and Sons Trucking, Inc of Sacramento, California transported
the soil to Allied Waste Industnes' Forward Landfill in
Manteca, California for disposal
Well Materials: Wells P-1 and P-2 were constructed using two-inch diameter
Schedule 40 PVC casing, wells MW-5 through MW-7 were
. constructed using four-inch diameter Schedule 40 PVC casing,
and well MW-4 was constructed using six-inch diameter
0955 6
