I understand <br />that Ms. Ruth Ha of KHM Environmental Management (KHM) previously discussed this <br />inspection with you during a telephone conversation on November 4, 2002. <br />Hazardous Waste Inspection <br />The following is BP's response to the two items noted during the hazardous waste <br />inspection on September 17, 2002. <br />• Item 11: 66262.12(a)(CCR) Managed a hazardous waste without an EPA number <br />The Inspection Report states that at the time of the inspection, an EPA ID number could <br />not be located at the facility. The facility has the following EPA identification number: <br />CAL000170011. To avoid future confusion on this issue, BP has notified the manager to <br />post the EPA number at the facility. <br />• Item 43: 66265.51(a)(CCR) No contingency plan <br />The Inspection Report indicated that the facility does not have a contingency plan. I <br />understand that ARCO Facility No. 6313 does not generate more than 1,000 kilograms <br />(kg) of hazardous waste per month and therefore is not required to have a large -quantity <br />generator contingency plan under Section 66265.51. BP requires all of its facilities that <br />
