G E M Phase II ESA Work Plan <br /> March 19,2019 <br /> The soil gas samples will be analyzed for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using U.S. Environmental <br /> Protection Agency(U.S. EPA) Method TO-15. <br /> The soil samples will be analyzed for the following: <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) quantified as diesel (TPHd) and TPH quantified as motor oil <br /> (TPHmo) using U.S. EPA Method SW8015B (extractable); <br /> • TPH quantified as gasoline (TPHg) using U.S. EPA Method SW801513 (purgeable); <br /> • Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using U.S. EPA Method 5035 collection method for analysis <br /> via SW846 Method 826013; and <br /> • Five California Leaking Underground Fuel Tank (LUFT) manual "wear" metals (cadmium, <br /> chromium, lead, nickel,zinc) using U.S. EPA Method 60108. <br /> If additional samples are collected based on elevated PID readings and/or evidence of chemical staining, <br /> the samples will be submitted to the project laboratory on a "Hold" basis pending approval from the <br /> client to analyze the samples. <br /> Report <br /> The Phase II ESA results will be presented in a report of findings which will present a summary of the <br /> procedures and results for this investigation, figures showing sampling locations, and tables presenting <br /> analytical results compared to published screening levels. Copies of the analytical laboratory report will be <br /> included in an appendix. <br /> Schedule <br /> Work for the Phase II ESA will begin immediately upon receipt of an approved permit from SJCEHD and <br /> scheduling of a SJCEHD inspector.
