Section 6 Health Hazard Data <br /> Inhalation Health Risks and Symptoms of Exposure: High concentration of product may irritate <br /> respiratory system, may cause headaches, drowsiness or unconsciousness as well as other <br /> nervous system effects and sensitization may product asthma like symptoms. <br /> Skin and Eye Contact Health Risks and Symptoms of Exposure: Systemically toxic <br /> concentrations of this product will probably not be absorbed through human skin. <br /> Eye contact will cause burning irritation - flush with water for 15 minutes and get medical <br /> assistance immediately. Ingestion Health Risks: Relative to other materials, this material is <br /> classified as "Practically Nontoxic" by Ingestion. In Humans, irritation or chemical burns of the <br /> mouth, pharynx, esophagus and stomach can develop following ingestion, injury may be severe <br /> and cause death. <br /> Carcinogenicity: NTP: NO IARC MONOGRAPHS: NO OSHA REGULATED: NO <br /> Medical conditions generally aggravated by exposure: Skin and eyes sensitization, asthma or <br /> asthmatic bronchitis, allergic disease, chronic respiration disease. <br /> Emergency and First Aid Procedures: Eye: Flush with water for 15 minutes. Inhalation: Take <br /> person to fresh air. If difficulty in breathing persists provide oxygen and get medical attention <br /> immediately. Skin Contact: Wash with soap and water. Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. <br /> Consult Physician immediately. <br /> Section 7 Precautions: Safe Handling & Use <br /> Spilled Product: Eliminate ignition sources like heat, open flame and sparks, ventilate area of <br /> spill and dike area. Wear protective clothing and equipment - trained personnel should provide <br /> clean up work. Cover the spill with inert absorbent and place into proper containers, do not seal, <br /> prepare a decontamination solution of 0.2-0.5% liquid detergent and 3-8% concentrated <br /> ammonium hydroxide in water. Treat spill area with solution using about 10 pts of solution for <br /> each part of the spill, and allow it to react for at least 10 minutes. Slowly stir decontamination <br /> solution into spilled material and allow to react. .Disposal: Dispose of per Federal, State and <br /> local law permits. <br /> Storage: Keep in cool dry area, away from heat and open flame or sparks. <br /> Section 8 Control Measures <br /> Provide adequate ventilation and keep airborne concentration below TLV limit.
