In accordance with the
Inve'sogation.Results.Report (ERM, 13 April 1999), ground water samples
1 were collected from six on-site monitoring wells on 22 April 1999. The
ground water samples were analyzed for total, petroleum hydrocarbons
I as gasoline (TPH-g) by EPA Method 8015, benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) by EPA Method'8020, dissolved iron
and dissolve manganese-by EPA Method 6010B,nitrate and sulfate by
EPA Method 300.0, and methane by EPA Method 8015 modified. TPH-g
And BTEX were analyzed to evaluate the concentration of these
compounds.relative to-previous sampling events. The other compounds
were analyzed to evaluate if biodegradation of TPH-g and BTEX
compounds is occurring in ground water at the site.
the ground water sampling results are presented in Tables 1 and 2
(Attachment.A). Table 1.presents the results of the organics analysis (i.e.,
TPH-g and BTEX). The results of previous groundwater sampling
events, for these compounds are also included in this table. As shown in
Table 1,the samples collected at MW-3 and-AW-6 contained no
detectable concentrations of TPH-g or BTEX. At MW-4; the
concentration of TPH-g and BTEX.compounds decreased.relative to the
two previous sampling events (11/16/98 and 12/16/98). At MW-1,
MW-2, and MW-6, the concentrations of TPH-g and BTEX.compounds
were similar to the results of the two previous sampling events.
I
