(Wright) las prepared this addendum woriiplan on behalf of
Estate of Joe Gardella (owner) for the above referenced site. The proposed work is in res:pouse
to a letter dated January 27, 2003 frons the San Joaquin Public Health Services Environriiental
Health Division(PHS EHD) for additional monitoring well.installations and site assessment.; This
work is being done to address petroleum contaminants oto-site. Pmvious site assess activities
have mapped portions of the dissolved plume and quarterly monitoring samplings with repo,is are
ongoing at the site. The addendum was discussed in the meeting between Wright mA PHS..EHD
repmseotatives on May 22,2003 and their letter dated June 2,2003,
Meeti ng%f May 22,2003 and Discussion of Workplan
Wright and PHS EHD representatives discussed the April 25, 2003 workplan and tate pruvious
site work to date. The tanks were installed on the property in 1971 and the leak appears to I:enter
on the former tank pit. Groundwater levels in the area way have been up to 30 &-iA deeper'than
present day, a condition that would have enhanced vertical contaminant penetration in year.;prior
to the more recent groundwater`rebound" and water levels rising in the area. PHS EHD i:M in
general agrnent with the workphm but iDd"rcated concerns regarding the nature of tba site
swzatigraphy and contaminant pathways for all contaminants, especially 1, 2-Dirhlorethane 'i-1, 2-
DCA). Comer*, tbree water bearing zones of interest occur at about 35-50 fejt, 60-65 fbA and
110-119 feet have been identified. The largest wea of petroleum, contaminant appears wittbin the
35-50 foot aquifer zone (roughly the area of MW-2), with scattered occurrences laterally m the
deeper zones.
67E. 10th Street • Tracy,C.A.95376 Fagc l of 6
209.$33.0758 .
