! The samples were placed in an ice chest at four degrees centigrade and.transported under chain of
custody to 1VIcCampbell Analytical (ELAP.1644) for analysis. Analysis for each sample consisted of
total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPHg) and total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd)
by EPA method 8015; benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes(BTEX) by EPA method 8020;
oxygenated fuel additives by EPA.method 8260; halogenated ;volatile organic compounds by EPA
method 8260; polychlorinated biphenyls by EPA method 8080; LUFT metals by EPA method 6010
and hexavalent chromium by EPA method 7196. In addition, the sample from the soil stockpile was
analyzed for semi-volatile organic compounds by EPA method 8270;and for.total oil.and grease(TOG)
by EPA method 413.1.
No detectable concentrations of any organic analytes were present in the`soil sample collected from
beneath the UST. Metals in both samples were at naturally occurring background concentrations. The
results from the sample collected from the soil pile showed slightly elevated levels of TPHg, TPHd and .
TOG. However, the analytical-results from the sample taken beneath the former UST indicate that no
significant impact had occurred. It appears that any contamination present in the vicinity of the tank
was removed during the excavation. Analytical.-results are summarized in Table 1. Laboratory data.
sheets are included in Attachment C.
The stockpiled soil was`removed from the property and transported to the Forward Inc. landfill
P P y p ,
for disposal. A copy of the soil manifest will be.forwarded to,your office when received:
Please call the undersigned if youhave any questions or require additional 'information.
Respectfully, 4;` RV C;
Gr un ero Analysis;In9777
GREGORY P. a
STXHL .
Gregory P.
