Development and sampling of the
wells occurred on February 21, 22 and 27, in 1990. In addition, water levels
were measured in `each well prior to sampling on February' ry 2i and 27, 1990,
(;'figures 2 and 3, respectivel-).
Wa
_ :he purpose of the sampling and chemical analyses was to prcvide
additional data on the t
,Ipe and concentration of individual n 1
eum
hydrocarbon i,ontaminants previously identified in two of the wells (KW-1`andMW-
2), to document changes in these contaminant levels since initial water samples
were taken in December 1438, and to determine if the same constituents were
 + present (or absent) in the remaining we1J_s.
int g Fluid levels wets measured for the
purpose of determining the groundwater gradient and direction, and for
e identifying the down-gradient wells likely to be influenced by potcntially
migrating contaminants, -
6 The scope of work fcr completing these objectives included;
Measuring fluid levels it existing monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-
6 (six wells) before the collection, of water samples from each well;
followed by measuring fluid levels in each well approximately one
week after rite above sampling;
Collecting water samples from each monitoring well for the analysis
of total petroleum hydrocarbons (,asolina and diesel); benzene,
to!uene, xylene(s), and ethylbenzene; selected eblorinatod volatile
' 4J
BIONT'L.H2O l
April, 1990
