The Workplan includes a scope of work to
install one well cluster(two monitoring wells) at the southwest corner of the site, and a second well cluster(three
monitoring wells) approximately 200 feet southwest of the site. The proposed work is appropriate and necessary
to verify the lateral and vertical extent of contamination, and is approved.
According to the 27 June 2001 Revised Monitoring and Reporting Program(MRP)No. 93-701, all new wells
shall be sampled quarterly for a minimum of one year. If the new well is non-detect for all constituents listed in
MRP No. 93-701, the sampling frequency for that well may be changed from quarterly to annually. Constituents
to be analyzed on a quarterly basis include total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline, benzene, toluene, ethyl
benzene, xylenes, 1,2-dichloroethane, and tertiary butyl alcohol.
Please be aware that Article 12 was added to the Underground Storage Tank Regulations corresponding to
Sections 2729 and 2729.1 of the California Code of Regulations requiring Responsible Parties to submit
analytical and site data electronically. Enclosed is our letter(Required Electronic Deliverable Format for
Laboratory and Site Data Submittals to Regulating Agencies),explaining how to obtain information to
implement the requirements.
