20 April 2005 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0109 <br /> Page 4 of 6 <br /> 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> TPH-g was detected in ground water samples from wells MW-6, MW-8, MW-9 and MW-14 at <br /> concentrations of 340 micrograms per liter(4g/1),4,400 4g/1,3,900 µg/l and 340 µg/1,respectively <br /> Toluene and xylene were detected in the sample from well MW-14 at concentrations of 4 4 4g/1 and <br /> 51 µg/l, respectively Ethylbenzene and xylene were detected in the samples collected from wells <br /> MW-8 and MW-9 at concentrations as high as 56 µg/l and 268 2 µg/1 (MW-8) , respectively <br /> Benzene was not detected in the samples collected this quarter <br /> The fuel additive 1,2-DCA was detected in samples collected from wells MW-4, MW-5, MW-9 <br /> (off-site), MW-14 and MW-16 (off-site) at concentrations ranging between 3 9 µg/1 (MW-9) and <br /> 6 8 µg/l (MW-14) <br /> Eight of twelve analyzed minerals were detected in the samples collected from wells EW-1 and <br /> MW-14 at concentrations ranging from 0 13 mg/l(manganese)to 74 mg/l(Calcium) Total alkalinity <br /> in samples EW-1 and MW-14 ranged from 86 mg/l and 110 mg/l, TDS ranged from 400 mg/1 to <br /> 580 mg/l,conductivity ranged from 603 umho to 874 umho and pH ranged from 6 601 to 6 821 In <br /> addition,the metal barium was detected in sample MW-14 at concentrations of 0 19 mg/1, no other <br /> metals, including chromium and chromium VI, were detected above reporting limits <br /> No additional analytes were detected above laboratory limits in the ground water samples collected <br /> The analytical results from the March 2005 monitoring event are presented in Tables 2, 3 and 4 <br /> Analytical results to date are summarized in Table 5 The approximate extent of dissolved TPH-g, <br /> benzene and 1,2-DCA are depicted on Figures 4, 5 and 6 The laboratory report (CTEL Project <br /> Number 0503040)and chain of custody forms are included in Appendix B Confirmation pages of <br /> the submitted laboratory electronic digital format(EDF)files and depth to water measurements are <br /> included in Appendix D <br /> 33 OZONE INJECTION PILOT TEST <br /> Ozone infection began at the site on 14 October 2004 Currently the ozone system infects ozone for <br /> a 2-hour duration into one ozone injection point at a time The injection pressure is approximately <br /> 10 psi and the ozone infection rate is 10 cubic feet per minute <br /> 4.0.
