i
ARCO Meeting Minutes •
August 8, 1994
Page 7
i
ARCO 6100, Tracy, (Margaret Lagorio)
Margaret asked ARCO what the status was on performing further off-site assessment to
delineate gasoline hydrocarbons in soil. ARCO stated that they had submitted an access
agreement to the owner of the property across Patterson Pass Road in June, 1993. The property 3
owner requested that the agreement be revised to address property restoration following
completion of the investigation/remediation. The agreement was revised and resubmitted in April
1994. ARCO or EMCON has not received any word from the owner. ARCO said that they would a
have EMCON resubmit the agreement for a third time. Margaret told ARCO to continue to include
a
the status of obtaining access in future quarterly status reports.
t
e
The results of the depth to groundwater investigation conducted on the on-site production well
was discussed. Margaret said she received a copy of the report presenting the findings of the
investigation and is satisfied that groundwater beneath the site is under confined conditions and #
is at a depth (deeper than 150 feet and likely 200 to 300 feet) that hydrocarbons in the soil would
not impact groundwater.
3
ARCO 434, Lodi (Margaret Lagorio)
BC sent a copy of the revised soil boring locations to Margaret. ARCO has received off site
permission for the Church property to the north of the site and the proposed boring locations in
the City of Lodi right of way. ARCO is pursuing but does not yet have permission for the borings
on the south side of Kettleman Lane. Kyle says we should go ahead and schedule the drilling
now and the County agreed.
Margaret needs information concerning the Biofifter, specifically a description of the system and
the results. BC will provide her with a copy of the papers that have been prepared for the
system. Margaret indicates that she needs to be informed when modification to the system are
being proposed and ARCO has provided notification via quarterly monitoring reports.
Summary
Should you have any questions or comments please contact me at (415) 571-2469 so that we
can make adjustments.
Sincerely,
Chuck Carmel
Environmental Engineer
cc: Chris Winsor, PAC-1291
Kyle Christie, San Mateo
Elizabeth Thayer, CVRWQCB
Jay Johnson, EMCON
Jay Lucas, Brown and Caldwell
