Former ARCO #760 - 2 - 10 January 2008
225 S. Cherokee Ave, Lodi • •
2. During the three quarters of monitoring conducted since installing MW-6, 1,2-DCA (a
petroleum hydrocarbon constituent) has been detected in each quarter (5.1 ug/L,
3.5 ug/L, and 0.69 ug/L) and has exceeded the Regional Water Quality Control Board
Water Quality Goals (WQGs: California Primary Maximum Contaminant Level, 0.5 ug/L,
and the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment Public Health Goal,
0.4 ug/L). Because well MW-6 is an upgradient well with 1,2-DCA concentrations
above WQGs, MW-6 groundwater will be sampled and concentrations will be reported
for all of the petroleum hydrocarbon constituents during the next two quarters (first and
second quarters of 2008) to establish a declining concentrations trend, before Regional
Board staff will consider a reduction to semi-annual sampling for MW-6.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 464-4615.
' f ''J -
ames L.
