Our review has been somewhat hindered due to preliminary information omitted from the workplan. Please refor to the attached check list. In addition to the lack of preliminary information, we have the following comments, regarding the proposed workplan: 1. Previously excavated soils contained Exceasive levels of total lead. Lead contaminated e:oilc cannot be aerated. It ix our recommendation that additional verification sampling be prrrfor'med to determine the- extent and amount of tetraethyl lead (soluble lead). 2. Residual contaminants retraining at the conclusion of the rxeavBticn attempt shall be addressed in the soil remediation plan. The soils remediation plan should include a feasibility atudy fr�r each option proposed. This plan can be prepared in concert with the submittPl of Boil reeulte for the pending aeration activities. r� O, Provide detailed top view and cross-sectional diagrams of the y-oposed excavation site. Calculate the total cubic yardooe of all the excavated soil. Include the location of original excavated soil ori diagram. Stock-piled coils shrill be stared so that vapor emissions and dust controls are restricted. ►. 4.
