Is
Date March 8,2005
Quarter I"Quarter,2005
DISCUSSION:
Two monitoring wells were installed (MW-4 and MW-5) during fourth quarter 2004 and initially sampled on
December 13, 2004 The data for the groundwater sampling were received after the subrmssion of the Quarterly
Groundwater Monitoring Report,Fourth Quarter 2004 (URS, 2004) Toluene and total xylenes were detected above
laboratory reporting limits in the groundwater sample collected from site monitoring well MW-5 at 0 55 rmcrograms
per Inter(Itg/L) and 0 84µg/L,respectively No other analytes were detected above laboratory reporting limits during
the December 13,2004,sampling event No contaminants of concern were detected above laboratory reporting lints
in monitoring wells MW-4 and MW-5 during the January 12,2005,regularly scheduled quarterly monitoring event
Gasoline range organics(GRO),benzene, total xylenes, methyl tert-butyl ether(MtBE),and I,2-dichloroethane (1,2-
DCA) were detected above laboratory reporting limits in groundwater samples collected from site monitoring wells
MW-1 through MW-3 this quarter In MW-2, benzene was detected dust above laboratory reporting limits (0 71
pg/L) for the first time since July 2003 Other analyte concentrations were generally consistent with the historic data
Groundwater elevations in site wells generally increased relative to the previous monitoring event The inferred
groundwater flow direction was toward the southwest at an average hydraulic gradient of 0 02 ft/ft
This report is based on data, site conditions, and other information that are generally applicable as of the date of the
report, and the conclusions and recommendations herein are therefore applicable only to that time frame
TABLES
Table I Groundwater Elevation and Analytical Data
.
