The installation <br /> and testing of well RW-1 was in response to the request of Conoco,lnr;.to evaluate the hydrogeologic properties <br /> of the shallow,unconfined aquifer beneath the subject site. This information allows future recovery wells to be <br /> properly designed and located in order to maximize the efficiency of the ground-water remediation system. <br /> The location of RW-1 is shown on Figure 2,Site Plan and Ground-Water Grad,' Map. The location of RW-I <br /> was selected to capture hydrocarbon contaminated ground water that may otherwise migrate off-site. Water <br /> produced during the 24-hour aquifer test was expected to contain minimal levels of dissolved hydrocarbons that <br /> _ could be disposed of througl: the public sewer system. <br /> i <br /> - SCOPE OF SERVICE <br /> The scope of service was conducted in two phases. The first phase included permitting,drilling,sampling,Iogging, <br /> -' installing, and developing recovery well RW-1. This phase required a review of pertinent geologic and <br /> hydrogeologic literature and maps,and a review of previous consultant reports made available to us.
