p rra
40 RD
a Pon# nviironmen Services October 31, 1989
Job No. 21!-Q9-6
Mr. Gregory Fletcher
. Conoco Inc.
600 North Dairy Ashford
TR 3038
Houston, Texas 77079
SUBJECT: Quarterly Ground-Water Sampling Report
September 1989
p- 900 South Cherokee Lane
Lodi, California
Dear Mr. Fletcher.
INTRODUCTTQN
.. This report presents the results of the quarterly ground-water sampling which was conducted at 900 South
Cherokee Lane,Lody California(see the 1-ocation Map,Figure 1),on September 14, 1989. The purpose of this
sampling program is to monitor and evaluate the extent of hydrocarbon contamination in the ground water at t
the subject property.
f
SUMMARY
t.a
A summary of data regarding ground-water levels for the third quarter(September;1989)is presented in Table
A. In general,ground-water levels have fallen an average of 4.I2 feet since the last quarterly sampling. Ground- r
`N water flow for this quarter is directed towards the southeast with a gradient of approximately 0.04 (see the
Ground-Water Gradient Map,Figure 2). Monitoring wells MW-8 and MW-17were not sampled because of the
presence of free product. Monitoring well MW-19 did not recharge sufficiently after purging to obtain a sample. p
Generally, chemical analytical results indicate that concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons have remained
celatively constant since the last quarter(see Table B and Appendix B). Figure 3 presents isrterpretive isnp;eths
of benzene concentrations within the ground water for the site. This site is scheduled to be resampled during
December, 1989.
r -
Respectfully submitted,
DU PONT ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
William E./Bassett
Environmental Technician George Reid
Certified Engineering Geologist
CEG :068
WEB/G R:rw
7088 Kofl Center Parkway — Sulte 401 •Pleasanton,California 94566 772
_ (415)462-7 •
-- _(_800)468-21_22 FAX{415)462-1949
Aston,Pennsylvania Pieas3rt0n,Cal,lomia f-orwa k.Ca rtomia Houslon,Te-as Boca Ra'c PomEda —
J:
