This chain-of-custody form is presented in Appendix 1.
The soil samples collected were delivered to Superior Laboratory in Martinez, California
a State approved laboratory (Certification Number 319), for the type of analyses
performed. All samples were analyzed in accordance with EPA SW-846 Methods 5030 and
8020 for benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and xylenes (BTXE),by Standard Method 5520)~
EPA SW-846 Method 8015 for total petroleum
for oil and grease, and Modified
hydrocarbons (TPH).
1Vlonitoring.Wells
tom; As proposed in the FRP each of the three monitoring wells installed at the Stan Mari Ford
dealership will be sampled and the samples analyzed for purgeable halocarbon by EPA
Method 601 on a quarterly basis for the period of one year.
Each of these wells was sampled on November 25, 1990. Prior to sampling, each well was
of
purged of three to five well volumes of water until spe efiarateddedic ed PVC baillersconuctivity and pH vauesfor
the water had stabilized. Each well was sampled using p
each well. Two 40 ml VOA vials were collected from each well and placed in a chilled
ice chest until delivery to a certified analytical laboratory.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS
Augg Borines
Results of analytical laboratory tests are presented in Table 1 and in Appendix 1. A total
of seven soil samples were analyzed for BTXE and oil and grease. This was the maximum depth
reachable using the hand auger.
