Spill Prevention Devices: The drums are not filled on site;thus, spill prevention devices are not applicable.
A stick is used to determine the amount of material that can be accommodated by the portable storage
containers. Overhead transfer lines pass overhead within the maintenance shop and vehicle
fueling/inspection area from the underground lines from the fuel farm to the dispensing stations. There are
on/off switches positioned at three locations including:the control panel at the tank fuel farm,at the vertical
posts at the north end of the fuel lanes in the Inspection Area, and the north wall of the shop supervisor's
office that can be utilized to shutdown overhead fuel transfer lines in the event of a leak. There are shut-
off valves accessible to facility personnel for all of the non-fuel overhead transfer lines. Due to 24 hour
operations, any leak would immediately be apparent to terminal personnel.
Spill Flow Pattern: Spills would be contained and cleaned inside the building structure. Large spills could
flow to the oil/water separator and oil recovery tank and be contained and cleaned up as outlined in Section
7.0 of this Plan.
Compressor Room
Secondary Containment Type and Capacity: Secondary containment for the drums is provided by spill
trays and the physical structure of the compressor room.
The facility is operated 24 hours per day and a leak or rupture would be immediately apparent to personnel.
Secondary Containment Drainage: Secondary containment provided by the compressor room is protected
from rainfall.
Spill Prevention Devices: The drums are not filled on site;thus, spill prevention devices are not applicable.
There are shut-off valves accessible to facility personnel for all of the non-fuel overhead transfer lines.
Spill Flow Pattern: Spills would be contained and cleaned inside the building structure.
Tire Storage
Secondary Containment Type and Capacity: Secondary containment for the drums is provided by spill
trays and the physical structure of the tire storage room.
The facility is operated 24 hours per day and a leak or rupture would be immediately apparent to personnel.
Secondary Containment Drainage: Secondary containment provided by the tire storage room is protected
from rainfall.
Spill Prevention Devices: The drums are not filled on site;thus, spill prevention devices are not applicable.
Spill Flow Pattern: Spills would be contained and cleaned inside the building structure.
Truck Wash
Secondary Containment Type and Capacity: Secondary containment for the drums is provided by spill
trays, the physical structure of the truck wash equipment bay and the trench drains that discharge into
oil/water separator for the maintenance shop.
The facility is operated 24 hours per day and a leak or rupture would be immediately apparent to personnel.
Secondary Containment Drainage: Secondary containment provided by the truck wash equipment bay is
protected from rainfall.
20
