Mr. Michael Infurna
. December 17, 1993
Page 4
Proposed Schedule
Interim remedial activities will begin January 1,.1994.
The water supply wells will be investigated during the first quarter of 1994. The schedule
of this work will be relayed in writing to the County as soon as bids are obtained from local
contractors and the work can be scheduled. The bidding process has been started by Mr.
Robert Cecchini.
Summary
Although the optimal activities at the site would be to install three or more additional
ground water monitoring wells, these additional wells cannot be installed at this time
because of the financial circumstances of the client. The client has submitted an application'
form for funding from the Regional Water Quality Control Board and is awaiting their
response. The proposed interim remediation and investigation of the possible use of the
water supply wells for monitoring are measures consistent with Title 23 corrective action
requirements.
The work performed by the client currently and in the past year has been in good faith and
with efforts to perform source control. The client will remove the underground tanks by
1998 and is currently attempting to obtain the financial resources to do so.
Please contact Sue Wickham of ESE at (510) 685-4053 or Mr. Ellis Cecchini at (510) 757-
7700 with any questions or comments regarding this letter.
Sincerely,
ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE & ENGINEERING, INC.
`f -W4-
Susan S. Wickham, RG 3851
Senior Geologist
PC: Ellis Cecchini
Robert Cecchini
RWQCB - CV
f:\6925400\resoe12.93
