Cherokee Road ROM 0118
Stockton, CA 95205 Global ID#: T0607700156
The San Joaquin County Environmental-Health Department (EHD) has reviewed
Five-Day High Vacuum Soil Vapor Extraction (HVSVE) Pilot Test Report (Report)
dated March 21, 2011 submitted by your consultant, Advanced GeoEnvironmental
Inc., (AGE). The Report details the five-day high vacuum soil vapor extraction
(SVE) pilot test conducted on-site in February 2011. The EHD had approved this
test by correspondence dated December 14, 2010.
It was concluded in the Report that soil vapor samples collected during the test
contained total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) were detected ranging
as high as 26,000 micrograms per liter (ug/1) and that approximately 410 pounds of
gasoline were removed during the test. The radius of influence of.induced vacuum
was as much as 100 feet from the extraction test well, VW-1. AGE recommended
that a remedial action plan (RAP) be prepared proposing HVSVE as the
remediation technology for vadose zone and deeper hydrocarbon-impacted soils.
The EHD concurs.
Please submit a RAP to the EHD (Geotracker) within 60 days.
If you have any questions, plea contact Michael Infurna at (209.)468-3454.
Zichael J.
