Cherokee Road RO#: 0118
Stockton, CA 95205
Dear Mr. Cecchini,
The San Joaquin County.Environmental Health Department (EHD) has received and reviewed
Final Remediation Work Plan (FRWP), dated 30 March 2012, prepared by your consultant,
Advanced GeoEnviron mental, Inc. (AGE) on your behalf. The EHD has also conducted a 30-
day public participation period during which time the public was provided opportunity to
comment or question the FRWP. As not comments were received during the 30-day period, the
EHD can now proceed with approving or disapproving the FRWP.
The scope-of-work specified in the FRWP included:
• Installation of eight soil vapor extraction (SVE) wells;
• Obtaining laboratory analysis of selected soil samples;
• Procuring and installing a high vacuum extraction system;
• Operating the SVE system; and
• Preparing quarterly-remediation reports.
The screen intervals of the SVE wells is proposed to generally be 15 to 30 feet below surface
grade (bsg) or 25 to 45 feet bsg, but will be adjusted to address most impacted soil based on
the field indications for soil impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons. The proposed well locations
are in areas of most intense known impact to soil.
Based on the results of the.pilot test, the professional recommendation of AGE, and the verbal
approval of the Cleanup Fund Five-Year Review Committee to proceed with remediation; the
EHD approves the FRWP for implementation. Please submit a permit application to install the
SVE wells and associated fees to the EHD to start the implementation of the FRWP. Details
related to the permit application can be found on the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department website at www.sjgov.org/ehd/.
FRWP Approval Letter 0.512
