CECCHINI, CECCHINI AND GIOVANNOA7 FUELING ISLAND <br /> seasonal precipitation Ground water flow direction at the site has generally been to the northeast <br /> in recent quarters This flow direction is similar to regional flow direction interpreted from San <br /> Joaquin County Spring 1994 Ground Water Report Maps (San Joaquin County Flood, 1994) The <br /> less distinct flow pattern observed this quarter may be due to local pumping influences as well as <br /> precipitation factors <br /> BTEX continue to be found at low concentrations and were comparable to levels fou3id in <br /> previous quarters Benzene, although still at a relatively low concentration, has increased slightly <br /> compared to the previous quarter Concentrations of TPH as diesel remained relatively constant <br /> from previous quarters <br /> 3.3 GROUND WAFTER RECOVERY GNMMM REM EMATHON) <br /> As a result of the continued detectable TPH in well UST-1, interim remediation was initiated for <br /> this site in the Third Quarter of 1993 This quarter Mr Robert Cecchiru performed bi-weekly <br /> evacuation of water from Well UST-1 for a period of three months from October 1 to December <br /> 30, 1994 He performed the following tasks each visit <br /> a Measured water and product levels in the well UST-1 using an electric water level <br /> sounder and recorded the data <br /> 0 Evacuated approximately 55 gallons of water from well UST-1 using an electric <br /> submersible pump The volume of water pumped from the well was recorded <br /> o The water evacuated from well UST-1 was stored in DOT rated drums in a secure area of <br /> the site When a sufficient volume of water is accumulated at the site, the well owners <br /> will dispose of the purged water through a licensed recycler <br /> M Documents from the interim remediation activity are attached as Appendix C A total of 330 <br /> gallons of water was evacuated from well UST-1 from January 1 to March 30, 1995 <br /> F\6945400\1 OM95 RPT 4 Environmental Science&Engineering, Inc <br />
