(AGE) is <br /> submitting the enclosed Well/Boring Permit Application for the sampling of shallow soil borings <br /> near the stockpiled soil are of the former surface impoundment at 3535 East Cherokee Road, <br /> Stockton, California. <br /> The scope of work will include the advancement and sampling of up to six(6) shallow soil borings <br /> to depths of approximately 5 to 8 feet below surface grade.The borings will be advanced either using <br /> a hand-auger or a GeoProbe direct-push sampling unit. The borings will be backfilled with cement <br /> upon completion of sampling. A map of the proposed boring locations is attached with the Permit <br /> Application. <br /> The work is being performed as required by Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) for <br /> completion of a Removal Action Work Plan (RAP). Mr. Duane White of the DTSC is providing <br /> oversight on this project; he can be reached at (916) 255-3585.
