Chrisman Road <br /> Tracy, CA 95376 ! <br /> PSI Project No. 582-5I009 <br /> f <br /> Dear Ms. Lagorio: <br /> I <br /> This letter is written in response to your request for additional information concerning the <br /> above-referenced site. <br /> Mr. David Bean, California Registered Geologist (#5618)' will be supervising the Phase <br /> II investigation and resultant report. A statement of his qualifications is attached. <br /> J <br /> On November 4, 1994, additional contaminated soil was removed from the former tank [ <br /> pit area. Approximately 20 yards of discolored soil were excavated from the east, west, <br /> and south walls of the pit. Excavation was halted in these directions once discolored soil 1 <br /> was removed. The north wall was extended to within 4 feet of the building. Excavation <br /> was halted here so as not to adversely affect the foundation; the extent of discolored soil <br /> could not be removed. The excavation was generally square, and the depth of the pit was <br /> extended to approximately 10 feet. The soil was transported to Remco where it was <br /> treated and recycled. The manifest for the November 4th soil transport and the Certificate <br /> of Remediation for the total amount of soil excavated:, during the tank removal and <br /> subsequent soil removal are attached. <br /> A Backfill Excavation Certificate, provided by San Joaquin County Community <br /> Development Department, was completed by� All En ironmental, Inc., the on-site <br /> contractor. Pea gravel - smooth, rounded material not more than one-half inch in <br /> diameter was used to fill the former tank pit area.
