thick would be identified from which to collect depth-specific groundwater samples. Due
to site conditions, profile and sampling depths would be limited to a maximum of
approximately 220 feet. A BAT® sampling device would be used to collected up to 5
groundwater samples from each CPT profile. Due to the greater rod diameter required by
the BAT® sampling device, it may be necessary to collect deep groundwater samples using
a modified Hydropunch method if the appropriate sampling depths cannot be achieved due
to increased skin friction and tip resistance. Up to 6 groundwater sampling locations are
anticipated for the collection of groundwater samples. Gravel deposits which resist
penetration or deformation of the sampling hole during repeated sampling depths will
require installation of additional sampling borings adjacent to the original sampling
locations.
Each sample will be analyzed for HVOCs at a mobile lab. Depending on contaminant
concentrations, additional investigation of verticar contaminant migration may be necessary.
2
