Banta Rd. 25080 S. Banta Rd.
Tracy, CA 95376 Tracy, CA 95376
The sampling on November 6 was conducted to assess whether DDRW
Tracy's ground water plume had impacted either residence. The
detection of carbon tetrachloride at both households and
trichloroethene (TCE) at the Rose property necessitated the
confirmation round on November 14 . The sample results from both
rounds indicated that carbon tetrachloride and TICE concentrations
are consistently near or above the maximum contaminant levels
established for chronic exposure.
At the November 14 meeting, DDRW Tracy stated that it would is
accept responsibility for the TCE contamination but not the Carbon
tetrachloride, In follow up discussions, DDRW Tracy established
the following position: first to provide an alternative drinking
water supply for the Rose household, secondly to conduc-c monthly
sampling at both residences. Alternative drinking water would not
be provided to the Robertson's, as the carbon tetrachloride
contamination is not attributable to DDRW Tracy.
The Department strongly urges DDRW Tracy to re-consider it's
position and provide an alternative water supply to the Robertson
household.
. o vT , IT
