9 <br /> INFORMATION SHEET <br /> DEFENSE DEPOT TRACY EN P� �t1SE <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Defense Depot Tracy currently discharges 60,000 gallons per day of treated domestic <br /> (and small quantities of boiler blowdown) wastewater into two percolation/evaporation <br /> ponds. Secondary treatment is achieved by a trickling filter system. Resolution No. <br /> 63-216 prescribed requirements for this discharge, but it is outdated and inadequate. <br /> The revised permit establishes effluent limitations on the discharge to ensure that <br /> odors and ground water degradation are prevented. The permit also establishes an <br /> influent and effluent monitoring program to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment <br /> system, and a shallow ground water monitoring program, using existing monitoring wells. <br /> GAR:ej <br />
