The work plan describes the proposed field activities
for cone penetrometer testing (CPT) and associated groundwater sampling at the
DDJC-Tracy site. The objective of the fieldwork is to evaluate potential on and off-depot
source areas, define both the horizontal and vertical extents of the volatile organic
compounds, specifically Trichloroethene (TCE) and Tetrachloroethene (PCE) in the
Annex of DDJC-Tracy and off-depot, east of Banta Road.
CPT data collected during the field investigations are intended to obtain lithologic and
groundwater data for the analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Fieldwork
proposes 15 to 25 locations in the Annex and east of Banta Road within the upper and
middle hydrologic zones. The work plan proposes four groundwater samples to be
collected from each CPT location.
DTSC has reviewed the work plan and has the following comments:
Comments:
1.
