The report summarizes performance data for the
groundwater extraction and treatment system, presents the results of the treated
groundwater discharge sampling events taken from October 2006 through
September 2007, and provides data from the soil vapor extraction (SVE) system
operations. DTSC has reviewed the report and has the following comments:
Comments
1. Page ES-2, Section ES.2.2.9, third sentence; DESJC was not defined on the
Acronyms Page and should be added. In addition, DESJC should be defined
properly in the report's text for consistency.
2. Page ES-5, Section ES.5.3.2, second sentence; The report should identify the
definition of a "preferred" well.
3. Page ES-6, Section ES.5.4.1; DESJC should identify if any of the wells
planned for decommissioning are required by the Record of Decision (ROD)
to support any Institutional Controls (ICs).
4. Page 2-1, Section 2.2.2; This section is numbered incorrectly and should be
revised to section 2.1.2.
5. Page 2-1, Section 2.1.2, fourth sentence; The report should note that
Tricholorethene (TCE) and Tetrachloroethene (PCE) rebounds detected at
LM032AU are probably a result of SVE Area 3 persistent source observed to
® Printed on Recycled Paper
