The document
describes the development and validation of two interconnected models designed to
simulate groundwater flow and transport beneath the facility. This modeling is based on
a series of earlier models that have been prepared for the site. The flow model portion
incorporates much of the earlier flow modeling, but required recalibration and some
reworking to allow the transport modeling to proceed. The model is intended be used to
help optimize existing groundwater extraction systems and predict cleanup times.
Therefore, this review will focus on the appropriateness and implementation of the
assumptions used in the models.
Y,
0 Printed on Recycled Paper
