The report summarizes the results from the ground water
monitoring for two quarterly sampling events, 4Q05 and 3Q06 for the DDJC-Tracy site.
Only two quarters of data was collected and evaluated due to congressional funding
delays. The annual report also presents results from the soil vapor extraction (SVE)
system and cone penetrometer testing (CP^ investigation fieldwork to support a
natural attenuation evaluation for dieldrin.
DTSC has reviewed the report and has the following comments:
Comments
1. Analytical results from the 2006 ground water sampling fieldwork indicated
DDJC-Tracy is making progress towards achieving the Remedial Action
Objectives (RAOs) for Contaminants of Concern (CDCs) in ground water and soil
at DDJC-Tracy. DDJC-Tracy's Record of Decision (ROD) RAOs are currently
protective because incomplete exposure pathways exist for receptors to COCs in
soil or ground water above the cleanup levels. Moreover, existing COC plumes
are stable and contracting, and all Operable Unit — 1 (OU-1) COC concentrations
in ground water are less than 15 micrograms per litre.
e
