• Amendment to the Sitewidibmprehensive ROD,DDJC-Tracy <br /> DECLARATION FOR THE Sitewide Comprehensive Record of Decision. <br /> AMENDMENT TO THE RECORD OF This amendment also addresses the Defense Site <br /> DECISION Environmental Reporting and Tracking System <br /> (DSERTS) 72 site,which was discovered after <br /> DA Site Name and Location the ROD was signed. <br /> Defense Depot San Joaquin California-Tracy D.5 Statutory Determinations <br /> site(DDJC-Tracy),Tracy,California. <br /> D.5.1 Considering existing and ongoing <br /> D.2 Statement of Basis and operations at DDJC-Tracy,new information <br /> Purpose developed since the signing of the original ROD, <br /> and changes proposed for the remedial <br /> D.2.1 This decision document presents the alternatives at SWMU 4,OU 1,and DSERTS <br /> agreed to amendments to selected remedial 72,the Defense Logistics Agency believes that <br /> actions for specific sites at the DDJC-Tracy the identified remedies remain protective of <br /> Depot.The amendments were developed in human health and the environment, comply with <br /> accordance with the Comprehensive federal and state requirements,and are cost <br /> Environmental Response,Compensation,and effective. In addition,the revised remedies use <br /> Liability Act(CERCLA), as amended by the current, site-specific environmental data and <br /> Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization analyses to the extent practicable for this <br /> Act(SARA). The selected action is also in facility. <br /> compliance with the National Oil and Hazardous <br /> Substances Pollution Contingency Plan(NCP) D.5.2 This ROD Amendment amends the <br /> (40 CFR Part 300)and Chapter 6.8 of the institutional controls identified for SWMU 4 and <br /> California Health and Safety Code(Section establishes land use controls for DSERTS 72. A <br /> 25300 et seq.)The amendments of selected forthcoming Explanation of Significant <br /> remedies are based on the administrative record Differences(ESD),scheduled for finalization in <br /> for this site. 2004, will document institutional control <br /> requirements for other sites at DDJC-Tracy. <br /> D.2.2 The U.S.Environmental Protection <br /> Agency(U.S. EPA) and the State of California D.5.3 Five-year reviews will be conducted in <br /> concur on the selected remedies. accordance with CERCLA Section 121(c).The <br /> five-year review is required for sites with <br /> D.3 Assessment of the Site institutional controls that restrict use and for <br /> sites(i.e., groundwater)where cleanup standards <br /> Actual or threatened releases of hazardous will not be attained within five years.
