Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202-0388 <br /> SUBJECT: Groundwater Piezometer Abandonment and Installation, DDJC-Tracy and <br /> Monitoring Well Installation, DDJC-Sharpe <br /> Dear Mr. Knoll: <br /> URS Corporation is being contracted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to abandon 10 <br /> temporary groundwater piezometers and install 6 replacement permanent groundwater <br /> piezometers off-depot in the DDJC-Tracy Annex and install 4 monitoring wells on the San <br /> Lorenzo Lumber Company Property in Lathrop, west of DDJC-Sharpe. The field effort at <br /> DDJC-Tracy is schedule to begin on 19 July 2004 and will continue for approximately 2 to 3 <br /> days. The field effort for the monitoring well installation west of DDJC-Sharpe will be <br /> scheduled pending receipt of easement agreement with the property owner. <br /> Enclosed are 3 checks and 3 permit applications for the abandonment of the temporary <br /> piezometers on the DDJC-Tracy Annex, installation of the permanent piezometers on the <br /> DDJC-Tracy Annex, and installation of the four monitoring wells on the San Lorenzo Lumber <br /> Company Property for DDJC-Sharpe.
