WHAT IS SUPERFUND? <br /> Superfund is a program established by Congress in 1980 under the Comprehensive Environment Response, Compensation, and Liability Act(CERCLA), and reauthorized in <br /> 1986,to respond directly to the nation's hazardous waste problems that threatens public health and the environment.
