During the performance of ' <br /> any portion of the work under this contract, due caution shall be <br /> exercised to prevent injury to Government personnel or damage to <br /> property from falling debris, materials, or tools to the satis- <br /> faction of the Contracting Officer. The work shall proceed in <br /> such a manner as to minimize the spread of dust and flying par- <br /> ticles and to provide safe workinn, conditions for all personnel. <br /> e. Housekeeoina and Cleanun: The Contractor shall at all times <br /> maintain the work prem ses in a neat and orderly condition to the ' <br /> satisfaction of the Contracting Officer. <br /> f. Material and Equipment Submittals: As soon as practicable and in <br /> no case later than 30 days after the required date of commencement <br /> of work and before any material or equipment is installed, the <br /> Contractor shall submit descriptive information covering materials, <br /> fixtures, and equipment to be incorporated in the work. Submittals <br /> shall consist of three (3) sets of applicable brochures, technical <br /> data catalog cuts, layout drawings, diagrams, and such other des- <br /> criptive data that will give a complete description, including <br /> trade name, model number, type, size, rating, and auxiliary equip- <br /> ment. All submittals must be approved by the Contracting Officer <br /> prior to installation... <br /> g. WorkinE Hours: Except otherwise specified elsewhere, work shall <br /> be performed from 0730 to 1600 hours, Monday through Friday, <br /> excepting, holidays. Should it be necessary to perform work <br /> beyond the above limitations, the Contractor shall advise the <br /> Contracting officer in writing, at least four days in advance, <br /> of his (Contractor) intentions. Working befond the time <br /> and day limitations shall be perio^ed at no additional cost <br /> to the Government. <br /> h. ReoortinF; The Contractor shall report his presence at the <br /> work site every day by calling Extension 9531, Engineering <br /> Office, within one hour of arriving at the site. <br /> i. Site Visit: The Offeror is expected to visit the site and <br /> become completely acquainted as to the nature and general con- <br /> ditions bf the project and facilities. <br /> 'j. Safety Regulations: The Contractor, in his performance, shall <br /> comply with applicable provisions of OSHA Safety and Health <br /> Standards, 29 Code of Federal Regulations (CrR) 1910 General <br /> Industry, and 29 CER 1926 Construction Safety and Health <br /> Regulations. Contractor shall also comply with safety provi- <br /> sions not covered by the foregoing which are contained in <br /> U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (CoE) Manual EM 385-1_ Copies <br /> of the referenced standards and regulations are on file at <br /> Defense Depot Tracy, Office of Safety or Facilities Engineering, <br /> for review. <br /> 1-02 <br />
