Bruce Coleman - 2 - . 13 February 2002
If the project will involve the discharge of dredged or fill material into navigable waters or wetlands, a
permit pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act may be needed from the US Army Corps of
Engineers. If a Section 404 permit is required by the Corps, the Board will review the permit application
to ensure that discharge will not violate water quality standards. For more information, contact the
Sacramento District of the Corps of Engineers at(916) 557-5250 or Patrick Gillum with the Regional
Board at (916) 255-3397. If the project includes disturbance of a natural drainage feature, applicant is
advised to contact the Department of Fish and Game for information on Streambed Alteration Permit
requirements.
If you have any questions on this information, please telephone me at(916) 255-3116.
TIMOTHY R.
