The followings are our comments:
I- Soil gas samples can be collected from 10 and/or 20 feet from the designated locations,
Deeper probes to 30 bgs may be conducted depending on field observations, analytical
results, and/or soil lithologies. Not all sampling locations need to be sampled from 20 bgs.
Please see attached map for recommended depth at each location. Furthermore, the
proposed sampling locations may be changed depending on field sampling results;
2. Additional three(3)soil gas sampling locations are needed along the north side of
Lockeford Street aipp,as close to the storm drainage lines as feasible. Soil gas samples
collected from IV bgs should be adequate,
3. Additional five(5)soil gas samples should be collected from the property located east and
southeast of Gain,Electrical Site at 10 feet bgs_ The property owner, Mr, James Gundert
(209-369-4457)has given verbal permission to sample on his property_ You may contact
him for the sampling date and time.
4. Soil samples be collected from the storm drainage located at the Cain electrical site.
5, The proposed sampling location located in northeast corner of the Cain Electrical site can
be eliminated if you so desire.
6, Your proposed sampling date of 2/17/97 will not be feasible for me_ Please change the
soil gas sampling date to either February 24th, or any day in March.. February 17 is
presidential day and is a holiday for State employees(should not be a holiday for you
too?)
I hope the above information will be helpful. I look forward to a revised sampling workplan for
the Site. Thank you!.
TOTAL P.01
