INTRODUCTION ; <br /> This Addendum to.the CPT-l3 Area Investigation Report and Work Plan (Addendum) <br /> describes additions to the scope of work presented in the CPT-1.3 Area Investigation <br /> Report and Work Plan (Report/Work Plan) (Geosyntec, 2013) for the Dopaco, Inc. Area <br /> at 800 Church Street in Stockton, California (the `.`Site"). A Site location map is <br /> provided as Figure 1. Geosyntec Consultants (Geosyntec) prepared this Addendum on <br /> behalf of Cascades, Inc. <br /> The scope of the investigation work plan presented in the Report/Work Plan, submitted <br /> to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) on 30 May <br /> 2013, consisted of two tasks(task 1) Perform Cone Penetrometer Testing (CPT) and a1 <br /> rab- oundwater investigation to delineate the off-site i.e., lateral and vertical extent <br /> of toluene in groundwater, and Task 2) Collect samples of soil and soil gas from' <br /> approximately 5 feet below ground surface (ft bgs) in the CPT-13 Area. Groundwater <br /> and soil/soil gas sampling locations proposed in the Report/Work Plan are presented in <br /> Figure 2. <br /> : <br /> In order to satisfy the conditions of the Consent Decree and Stipulated Injunction <br /> (Injunction) between Cascades, Inc. and the Newark Group, Inc., toluene source areas <br /> within the Dopaco Area must be removed by excavation (The Newark Group Inc., v. <br /> Dopaco, Inc., 2013). This Addendum. was prepared to satisfy the conditions of the <br /> Injunction and includes an expanded scope of Task 2 of the Report/Work Plan and a <br /> new task(Task 3) for the excavation of soil within the Dopaco Area. <br /> Addendum 1 to CPT-13 Area Investigation <br /> Report and Work Plan 1 28 June 2013 <br />
