The sub-slab probe insert will be set so that the cap is flush with the floor grade. The cap <br /> should be secured any time the probe is not being used for monitoring. <br /> The sub-slab probe insert will be set in the drilled hole through the concrete and grouted into <br /> place using anchoring cement (available at building supply stores and normally used to seal <br /> cracks in concrete foundations). Silicone sealants, caulking, or any other material that could <br /> potentially give off vapors will not be used. The seal must be placed to allow the cap to be <br /> removed during monitoring events. <br /> 3 DOCUMENTATION <br /> Field documentation will include the following information: <br /> • name and number of project; <br /> • name of field personnel; <br /> • date and time of sampling event; <br /> ' • list of the primary activities performed; <br /> • identification of probes drilled and installed; <br /> • all related information (weather, attendees, equipment problems, any departures <br /> from standard procedures and the reasons and responses) observed throughout the <br /> day; and <br /> ' • field instrument information and calibration data(includes time and reading for <br /> each instrument calibration check. <br /> 2 2009.12.03 <br />
