(AGE) has prepared the enclosed Limited <br /> Subsurface Investigation Report for the property at 800 West Church Street, Stockton, California <br /> (the site).The work was performed to investigate the potential of hydrocarbon-impacted soil and/or <br /> ground water at the site. The location of the site and its surroundings are illustrated on Figure 1; a <br /> plan of the site including boring locations is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND <br /> The purpose of the investigation was to test for the presence or absence of suspected contaminants <br /> in the areas of identified potential concern associated with former underground storage tanks. <br /> Potential concerns were the possible releases of petroleum hydrocarbons and solvents related to the <br /> former USTs.The scope of work included advancement of eighteen probe borings to collect soil and <br /> ground water samples for laboratory analysis. <br /> The site at 800 West Church Street is situated in an area of mixed commercial and industrial use, <br /> bordered by Orange and Garfield Streets to the west,McDougald Slough and Interstate 5 to the east, <br /> Burlington Northern&Santa Fe Railroad to the south,and West Church Street to the north.A large, <br /> single-story building complex (the facility) is located on the site, with some smaller, separate <br /> buildings west and south of the complex. The majority of the facility is currently out of operation, <br /> although there are occupied offices in the north-central portion facing West Church Street.
