APN: 14523004
800 W. Church Street
Stockton, CA.
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has been assisting
the multiple responsible parties for the above notes subject site since December 2000 in
obtaining subsurface soil, groundwater, and soil gas samples for laboratory analyses.
Only the recent report, Site Investigation Report, dated March 16, 2011 submitted by
Geosyntec Consulting indicates that toluene and TPHd soil and groundwater
contamination has been detected in soil and groundwater samples collected at the site
during February 2011.
An underground storage tank (UST) that contained "number 6 fuel oif' was removed
prior to 2000 and the information provided to the EHD indicated "impacted soil was
excavated and properly disposed." The information included in previous work plans and
site history submitted to the EHD stated that results from sampling of four groundwater
monitoring wells at the site concluded that "groundwater has not been adversely
impacted by the former UST'. The February 2011 investigation was conducted in areas
not associated with the former UST. Since the toluene and TPHd detected in the most
recent samples do not appear to be related to a known UST, the site is being referred to
you for oversight.
The responsible party has been advised that regulatory oversight for any additional
investigation or cleanup is being referred to the CVRWQCB.
The EHD file contains all the data that was released by the responsible parties and can
be made available to you for your review at our office.
