27 February 2015
AGE-NC Project No. 96-0235
Page 3 of 10 ti
the lateral down-gradient extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons to deep (HU2)
groundwater at the site. One monitoring wells is proposed north of well MW-29 and one
monitoring well is proposed east of well MW-29; a third monitoring well and the soil
borings are proposed off-site in the City of Stockton Right-of-Way within the sidewalk
area on the west side of Harrison Street.
The scope of work will include the following tasks.-
0
asks:• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• Advancement of soil borings for collection of grab groundwater samples;
• Sample analysis;
• Soil boring abandonment;
• Pilot soil boring advancement;
• Monitoring well installation, development and survey,-
*
urvey;• Collection of monitoring well groundwater samples;
• Sample analysis; and
• Report preparation.
3.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK PREPARATIONS
Applicable sj. assessment permits will be obtained from the SJCEHD and
encroachment permits will be obtained from the City_of Stockton_-ublic- Works
Department.
In addition, a site specific health and safety plan will be prepared in accordance with
Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities
_ (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard
and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 1985).
s Prior to mobilization, each soil probe and pilot boring will be clearly marked and a utility
clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert. The SJCEHD will be contacted
- at least 48 hours prior to conducting any field work.
3.2. SOIL PROBE BORING AND SAMPLING
AGE proposes to advance three or four (3-4) soil probe borings for collection of
groundwater samples, utilizing direct push drilling technology to define the lateral down-
gradient extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impact to HU2 groundwater.
