A form is provided that can be used for this purpose. 105 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented)that employees who handle hazardous waste were properly trained. In the training material, copy provided to inspector at time of inspection, it states the black bucket contains non-hazardous waste and lists examples of items, several which appear to be considered hazardous waste. The black bucket is labeled non RCRA hazardous waste. In the black bucket, was a bag of expired Feline Rhinotracheitis Calcipanieukopenia Vaccines with a syringe. According to the chart and training material, vaccines should be in the blue bucket. When scanning the product the system directs the employee to place that specific item in the black bucket.The generator must ensure that all employees who handle hazardous waste are thoroughly familiar with proper waste handling and emergency procedures. Immediately provide training to all employees who handle hazardous waste and submit a copy of the training records to the EHD. 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all Communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination equipment / The eyewash solutions near the hazardous waste storage area were expired . All facility communications or alarm t/ systems, fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment, where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of emergency. Immediately begin this practice.
