Environmental Health Department <br />Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br />Date: <br />June 04, 2019 <br /> Facility Address: <br /> 1414-A W FREMONT ST, STOCKTON <br /> Facility Name: <br /> AAA MACHINE <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />RemarksItem # <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br />Six 5 gallon buckets were observed near the rear door of the shop without hazardous waste labels or accumulation <br />start dates. The owner stated these buckets contained used oil. A paper filter was observed without a label or <br />accumulation start date. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed <br />6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Immediately contact a licensed <br />hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />Six 5 gallon buckets containing used oil located near the rear shop door did not have hazardous waste labels. A <br />paper oil filter was observed not in a container and without a label. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked <br />with the following information: <br /> - the words “Hazardous Waste” <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties <br /> - physical state <br /> - composition (contents) <br /> - accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. Since <br />these containers have been on site longer than 180 days, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to <br />dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br />Several used oil filters were observed throughout the shop. Filters were not in labeled and in closed containers. There <br />were no bills of lading for recycled used oil filters. Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a <br />closed, rainproof container, labeled as “drained used oil filters,” and marked with an accumulation start date. <br />Immediately label, containerize, and recycle used oil filters. Keep a copy of all bills of lading for used oil filters for <br />three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection.
